Refund Policy

Every new account gets a free trial so you can test Plateworks with your own invoices and recipes before spending anything. We encourage you to use it properly during the trial, because that is the best way to know whether Plateworks suits your kitchen.

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate part-months.

Monthly payments are generally non-refundable once taken. If you cancel within 7 days of a monthly payment and you have not meaningfully used the service in that period, email us and we will usually refund it.

If you cancel an annual plan within 30 days of the payment, we will refund it in full. After 30 days we can refund the unused whole months remaining in your term at our discretion, less any months already used.

• You were charged twice for the same period.
• You were billed after cancelling.
• You were charged in error or by someone without authority to use your card.
• Plateworks was unavailable for an extended period through our fault.

• Change of mind well into a paid period after regular use.
• Forgetting to cancel before a renewal you were emailed about.
• Dissatisfaction with AI extraction accuracy where the trial made this testable.

We still look at every request on its merits. Talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank.

Email steve@plateworks.co.nz with the email address on your account and the payment date. We aim to reply within 3 working days. Approved refunds are returned by Stripe to the original card and usually appear within 5 to 10 working days.

Refunds include the GST charged on the original payment. This policy sits alongside your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, where those apply. See our Terms of Service for the full agreement. Plateworks is operated by Plateworks Limited, New Zealand.
